Constance "Connie" Louise Wagner Walsh, 70, of Dickinson Township, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011.
She was born June 19, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., and was adopted by her late parents, Arthur F. "Stubby" and Lena Owen-Parker Wagner.
She was a Cub Scout committee member and den mother, youth baseball auxiliary member, youth baseball team mom and 4H Horse and Pony Club leader.
She loved the pleasure of riding her horses and participating in competition rides. She was an accomplished crafter, and took great pleasure in theme decorating her home for each season, event and holiday.
She was very proud of her four sons and dearly loved her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by them, her husband who was so very dependent upon her, the rest of her family and her many wonderful friends.
Connie was raised in Knoxville, Iowa, and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1959. She completed three years at the Christian College for Women in Columbia, Mo.
Connie married her husband, John W. Walsh of Des Moines, Iowa, on Feb. 1, 1964.
She is survived by her husband, John W., and four sons, Patrick A. (Cathy) Walsh and John B. Walsh, all of Carlisle; Michael J. (Carrie) Walsh of Billings, Mont.; and Daniel B. Walsh of King of Prussia. She loved her six grandchildren, Samantha "Sammy," Cassandra "Cassie," Jacob "Jake," Clara, John K. and Emma; and her brother, Ronald (Betty) Wagner of Valdosta, Ga.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A visitation will follow the services on Thursday.
