Job, Ned Keeton – 1935-2012

Ned Keeton Job, age 77, died August 2, 2012, at his home in Knoxville. Ned was born April 26, 1935 to Eldon L. and Bernice Job.
Ned graduated from Knoxville High School and attended the University of Colorado where he graduated in 1957 with a BS degree in Finance. In 1956 he was united in marriage to Julia Clark. Following a term in the U.S. Army Reserves Ned and Julia moved to Knoxville where he began his long term career in banking. He has remained active in the Iowa State Savings Bank, and was serving as chairman until his death. He received recognition from the Iowa Bankers Association in 2011 as an over 50 year banker in Iowa.
Ned was active in many various local community affairs during his lifetime. He was President of the Knoxville Industrial Corp. during the time the 3M Company was negotiating for a town to locate their new industrial tape plant, which they located in Knoxville. Ned was a past President of the Iowa Independent Bankers Association
Ned enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville and the Island Country Club in Marco Island, Florida. He enjoyed reading, working in his yard, and spending time with his family.
Ned is survived by his wife Julia of 57 years of Knoxville; son, Stuart L. Job and wife Holli of Knoxville; daughter, Susan Hollingshead and husband Jamie of Knoxville; his sister Judy Fee of Knoxville; and daughter-in-law Maggie Job of Rapid City, South Dakota. Ned is also survived by seven grandchildren, Natalie Job of Canton, Ohio, Meredith Job of Knoxville, Kate Job of Moscow, Idaho, Libby Job of Bellingham, Washington, Keeton, Matt, and Mitchell Hollingshead all of Knoxville; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Matthew Job; and his brother D. Lewis Job and Lew's wife Nancy.
A memorial service will be held Monday, 11 a.m., August 6, 2012 at the Celebrate Community Church of Knoxville with Rev. Andrew Schmidt officiating. Ned's family will be greeting friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday. Prior to the memorial a private family interment service will be held at the Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KCSD Auditorium Project or the HCI Care Services of Knoxville and may be mailed to 222 E. Robinson, Knoxville, IA 50138. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com.
