Charlene Harrington was born to Russell and Lela Brubaker in Marion County on May 7, 1923. She married Robert (Bob) Harrington on Sept. 27, 1941 in Unionville, Mo. Bob and Charlene resided in Lucas County most of their married life. They had two daughters, Dannice and Diana.

Charlene died at the Lucas County Health Center on Aug. 11.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; her brother, Dale and her sister, Roberta.

She is survived by her two daughters; two sisters, Willa Brown and Wilma Ver Heul; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Charlene were held in conjuction with a previously planned memorial for her younger sister, Roberta McMillen. The services were held on Aug. 14, at the First Presbyterian Church in Chariton where Charlene had been active for many years. Officiating the services were Rev. Denise Group of the First Presbyterian Church.

Interment was at Chariton Cemetery.

Memorials for Charlene may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Chariton.
