The following obituary notice of Harry L. Jordan. The man who was burned to death in a motorcycle accident northeast of Bussey on the night of August 16, has been furnished to the Journal:

Harry Leroy Jordan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan, was born near Marysville, Iowa, February 14, 1884, and passed away August 16, 1917, aged 33 years 6 months and 2 days. Harry was a kind sociable and honest boy and had many friends, and it can truly be said that he was a true home boy. Those left to mourn his departure are a father,mother, two brothers, Albert and Raymond and one sister, Mrs. Harry Doud, besides a number of other relatives and friends.

"The funeral services were held at the Liberty M.P. church, Saturday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. R.S. Tague. Interment was made in the liberty cemetery.
