LOVILIA - Iva Bell Waters, 80, of Lovilia, died Saturday, Aug. 25, at Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gilbert-Nordstrom Funeral Home in Lovilia, the Rev. Brian Harris officiating. Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery, Lovilia. Visitors may call starting 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials: Lovilia First Responders or Oakwood Activity Fund.

Iva Bell Waters was born June 30, 1921, in Marysville, to Charles and Nora Inman Pettyjohn. She married Clarence "Pat" Waters on Jan. 15, 1938, in Missouri. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of Albia; a son and daughter-in-law: Marvin and Haydee Waters of Lovilia; two daughters and sons-in-law: Janet and Gerald Conner of Albia, and Armadine and Larry Schmitt of Albia; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sally Wallace and Wilma West of Albia; and a brother, Alfred Pettyjohn of Marysville.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Kenneth, John, Arthur and Archie; and five sisters: Pearl, Arlene, Blanch and two in infancy.
