PELLA - Richard D. Clark, 61, of Pella, died Friday, Nov. 23, at Pella Regional Health Center.

Visiting hours open today and continue all day Tuesday at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella. His funeral and Masonic services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Pella. The Rev. John McNabb and Bellefountain Masonic Lodge No. 163 of Tracy will officiate. The family will greet visitors following the services. Another funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bonaparte United Church in Bonaparte, Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial with military honors by Bonaparte American Legion Post No. 563 will be in Bonaparte Cemetery. Memorials: Bentonsport Cemetery Fund in Bentonsport.

Richard Delivan Clark was born May 1, 1940, in Pittsburg, Iowa to William Clyde and Laura Cass Clark. Dick attended Bentonsport Grade School and graduated from Bonaparte High School. He then began a lifelong career as a printer on Keosauqua. In July 1957, he was inducted into the United States Army.

He married Sharon Lee Huston on Aug. 12, 1961. They later moved to Fairfield, where their son, Merle Dean, was born. Their daughter, Della Vonn, was born after they moved to Mount Ayr. In 1973 they moved to Pella, and Dick worked at Pella Printing Co. At present he worked for Pella Corp. as their printer at The Copy Connection in Pella. He had worked for Pella Corp. 17 years with perfect attendance.

He was a member of the Bellefountain Masonic Lodge No. 163 in Tracy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved visiting the Rocky Mountains.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Clark of Pella; a son and daughter-in-law: M. Dean and Sandy Clark of Knoxville; three daughters and a son-in-law: 13-year-old Jessica Lynn and 10-year-old Cassandra Mae, both of Pella, and Della Vonn and Dan Flanegin of Sigourney; an ex-daughter-in-law and her spouse: Patty and Scott Roorda of Pella; two sisters: Kathryn Lucille Renteria of Pella and Cleda Darlene Biggs of Fairfield; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: William Clyde Clark Jr. and Linda Clark of Creston, and Jimmie Dale and Karen Clark of Rhome, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters in infancy: Wilma Clementine and Carley Jean Clark.
