KNOXVILLE - Betty May Binns, 75, of Knoxville died Saturday, May 18, at Knoxville Area Community Hospital of cancer.

Her funeral service was held today, May 21, at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Burial: Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery south of Fremont. Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of Central Iowa or First United Methodist Church Radio Ministry.

Betty May Binns was born in Keokuk County. She lived in Mahaska County until moving to Knoxville in 1957. She was a homemaker, and loved to cook and garden.

She is survived by four sons: Dareld Binns of West Sacramento, Calif., Dennis and Steven Binns of Knoxville, and Randal Binns of Oskaloosa; eight daughters: Sharon Miller of Aurora, Colo., Vonnie Shride of Burlington, Alicia Worthington of Norton, Kan., Pamela Gritts of Pleasantville, Vickie Meisinger of Marion, Sandra Renard of Knoxville, Kathie Caylor of Columbia and Cheryl Howell of Adel; two brothers: Larry Donley of Ashland, Neb., and Franklin Donley of Spring Hill, Fla.; 30 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmert.
