Harvey, July 5 – Clyde A. Hegwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hegwood, was born at Tracy, April 25, 1893, and departed this life at Oakdale, Monday, June 27, 1932, aged 39 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Clyde was united in marriage to Sylvia Redding, Feb. 28, 1916. Two children were born to this union, Ruth and Edward, of Harvey. Those left to mourn are: Mrs. Hegwood and children; four brothers and one sister – Chas. Hegwood, Verndale, Neb.; Ora, of Winterset; Loren, Purdy; Eddie, Sioux City; Mrs. Zelda Parson, of Des Moines.
Mr. Hegwood was a miner by profession and lived in the Harvey and Durham community most of his life. He was afflicted since Nov. 11, 1931. On Aril 13, 1932, he was taken to Oakdale where he passed away.
Funeral services were held at the Harvey M.E. church, Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S. P. Trostle. Interment at Eureka cemetery.
