Obituary for Harvey Loynachan

Services for Harvey "Mike" Loynachan, 74, of Knoxville, who died July 30, 1987 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held Aug. 1 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. John Beebout officiated at the services. Pall bearers were Mike Keefer, Worth Rankin Jr., Marvin Loynachan, Richard Kingery, Doyle VanderHart, Marvin Miller and Gary Kingery.

Mr. Loynachan was born Aug. 14, 1912 in Marion County, the son of William and Nettie Loynachan. He attended rural schools in the Pleasantville area.

On Jan. 16, 1934 he married Naomi Kingery at Coalridge Baptist Church.

He farmed in the Pleasantville area for many years before moving to Knoxville five years ago.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1983; his parents; one brother, Charlie; and one sister, Mabel Sherwood.

He is survived by one son, Jerry of Pella; one daughter, Mrs. Dick (Doris) Ellerman of Dallas Center; six grandchildren; one brother, Lester of Harvey; and one sister, Alta Miller of Knoxville.

A memorial has been established to the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella.
