Funeral services for Grace Leola Randol, 80 , of Pella, who passed away Dec. 29, were held Jan. 2, the Church of the Nazarene in Pella. The Rev. Ron Freeborn, officiated. Melody Sneller was the pianist and Donald Sneller and Rick Van Gorp were soloists.

Interment was held at the Oakview Cemetery in Albia. Casket bearers were her grandsons Ron McCombs, Jr., Don McCombs, Mike McCombs, Chad Randol, Pete Randol, Drew Randol and Dan Schakel. Honorary bearers were also her grandsons Dustin Dixon, and Simon Vos

Grace Leola Long, the daughter of Clay and Lena Prall Long, was born on September 17, 1923 in Wapello County. She attended country grade schools and graduated from Albia High School in Albia, Iowa.

On June 5, 1943 she was united in marriage with Augie M. Knight at Unionville, Mo. To this union two daughters were born: Shirley Ann and Sharon Diane.

On March 11, 1968 Augie passed away. Grace then met Dale Drew Randol and they were united in marriage on June 13, 1972 at Pella.

Grace is survived by her husband, Dale; their four children and their spouses: Shirley A. and Ronald Mc Combs of Reasnor; S. Diane and Mike Vos of Des Moines; Mike L. and Kendra Randol of Pella; Eric E. and Debbie Randol of Pella; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her brother, C.E.(Clair Eugene) Long and his wife, Freda of Mountain Home, Id.; two step-brothers: Jack Powers and his wife, JoAnn of Council Bluffs; Bill Powers and his wife, Joyce of Delray Beach, Flor.; and several nieces and nephews.

Grace was preceded in death by he first husband, Augie M. Knight; her parents, Clay and Lena Long; and her step-mother, Dorothy (Powers) Long.

Funeral arrangments were handled by Van Dyk Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
