NUNNIKHOVEN, DEROON, VAN VELDHUIZEN

Funeral services for Cornelus (Case) Nunnikhoven, 103, of Oskaloosa, who died Jan. 5, were held Jan. 8, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. Rev. Kenneth Dykstra officiated at the services.

Interment was at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa , with the Rev. Dan Vos officiating.

Cornelus was born November 6, 1900 at the Chaam, The Netherlands, to Abraham and Marie Adrianna DeRoon Nunnikhoven. He came to America with his parents on March 10, 1910, and the family settled near Knoxville.

On January 28, 1925, he was united in marriage to Grace Van Veldhuizen at the home of the bride's parents near Pella. Together they farmed, first near Knoxville, then in 1941, moved to a farm near Oskaloosa, and lastly moved to a farm in the Cedar area. They moved to Oskaloosa in 1967.

He is survived by his wife Grace of Oskaloosa; a son: Abe H. Nunnikhoven of Oskaloosa; 3 daughters and their husbands: Wilma and Bill Van Weelden, Mary Ann and Cornie Van Kooten, and Frances and Marvin Walraven, all of Oskaloosa; 15 grandchildren; 42 greatgrandchildren; 14 great-greatgrandchildren; several step grandchildren, step greatgrandchildren, and step grea -greatgrandchildren; a brother, Joe Nunnikhoven of Pella and a sister- in- law: Anna Nunnikhoven of Pella.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law; two sons-in-law; two brothers Anthony J. and Abraham Nunnikhoven; two sisters Henrietta Hoksbergen and Jeanette Van Haaften.

Memorials may be made to LOVE, Inc. or First Christian Reformed Church, Oskaloosa.
