Funeral services for Edith M. Bosch, 85, of Monroe, who died Feb. 29, were held March 4 at the United Methodist Church in Monroe. Pastors Reg & Karen Merrill, officiated the service. Jacque Robinson was organist and Pastor Koughn, soloist.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Casket bearers were Tim Bosch, Erin Wright, Erin Bosch, Steve Wilkins, Randy Bogaards and John Wilson.

Edith Margaret Hindman was born on July 7, 1918. to W. Robert and Nina Wells Hindman. Edith graduated from Knoxville High School in Knoxville. She was then employed at the Rural Electric Cooperative in Pella until the time of her marriage.

Edith and Herbert Adolph Bosch were united in marriage in Olathe, Kan. and to this union two sons were born: Ronald Curt and Craig Alan. In 1948 they purchased Bosch Variety in Monroe, which they were operating when Herb passed away in March of 1973. Following his death, Edith continued to own and operate the store until she retired in 1980.

Edith is survived by her two sons and their wives: Ronald and Amanda Bosch of Norwalk, and Craig and Judy Bosch of Knoxville, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Of her original family, Edith leaves just a sister, Leila Wilkins of Ida Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A.Bosch; her parents: W.R. and Nina Hindman; one sister, Helen Chandler and her brother, G. Robert Hindman. For those desiring, memorials may given for the Taylor House in Des Moines.

Arrangements were made by Van Dkye Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
