Graveside services for Jill Lynn Carter, 44, of Collins, Iowa were held Monday, October 21 at the Gosport Cemetery in rural Marion County, Glenna Patterson and Waneta McConnell officiated.

Jill Lynn Carter died Thursday, October 17, 2002 at her home in Collins. She was born on August 5, 1958 in Pella, the daughter of Wilbur Mathes and Glenna (Anderson) Mathes. Jill graduated from Monroe High School in 1976.

She was united in marriage to Craig Carter on August 29, 1986 in Newton.

Jill enjoyed riding motorcycles, horseback riding and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Craig of Collins; two step-sons: William Joe Carter and David Allen Carter, both of Newton; her father and step-mother: Wilbur and Janet Mathes of Chariton; and two brothers: Barry Mathes of Pella and Wesly Mathes of Madrid.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Arrangements were handled by Walter Coburn Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Jill Lynn Carter Memorial Fund.
