Funeral Services for Lois Arlene Stallinga ,70 of Pella were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella. Rev. Sheldon Starkenburg officiated Larry Jansen was the organist and Ivan Mulder was the soloist Interment was held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Casket bearers were Justin Vos, Jeff Vos, Rusty Vos, Tim Vos, Jan Vos, Jim Vos, Edward Bogaard and Dennis Schutt.

Lois Arlene Vos was born on January 5, 1933 in Jasper County north of Sully to James and Wilma Jansen Vos. Lois was baptized at the Sully Reformed Church at the age of 10. She attended the Sinter Country Grade School in Jasper County and later graduated from the Pella High School. Lois made her home with her parents until the time of her marriage.

On July 21, 1953, Lois was united in marriage with Melvin H. Vos at the Sully Reformed Church. To this union three children were born: Bruce Merlin, Bonnie Lou and David Michael.

In 1979 Lois attained a L.P.N. degree from the Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny. Lois worked at the Pella Nursing Home from 1980 to 1982.

On November 20, 1982, Lois was united in marriage with Wilmer Alven Stallinga at the Faith Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

She is survived by her husband Will, her three children and their spouses: Bruce M. and Sandy K. Vos of Pella; Bonnie L. Vos of Ventura, Calif.; and David M. and Brenda L. Vos of Ames. and three grandchildren. Of her original family, Lois leaves her mother, Mrs. Wilma Vos of Pella, along with her three brothers and two sisters: Ronald and Lucille Vos of Altoona; Harris and Darlene Vos of Newton; Linda and Gene Vos of Pella; Jerry and LaVonne Vos of Monroe; Louise and Ed Conover of Trout Run, Penn.; and a sister-in-law, Lorena Vos of Pella; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her father, James Vos and her brother, Kenneth D. Vos.

For those desiring, memorials may be designated for the Calvary Christian Reformed Church Library, or the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Van-Dyk Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
