Funeral services for Wayne Renaud, 84 of Pella, who passed away Dec. 25, were held Dec. 30 at Berean Baptist Church in Pella. James Hyland was the speaker and Ed Short was the pianist.
Committal services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella, with Henry Short as the speaker. Casket bearers were Ronald Robert; Paul Robert ; John Renaud ; Alvin Renaud; Duane Renaud; and Dave Hobbs.
Wayne Edmund Renaud was born Feb. 22, 1919 to Aaron J. Renaud and Lena G. Versteegh Renaud. Wayne attended the Ironclad School and graduated from the 8th grade. He served in the United States Army from May 11, 1942 to October 15, 1945 during which time he served as a medic in Africa and Italy.
On April 11, 1950 he was united in marriage with Ruth Arlene Elwood. They adopted a great niece, Bronwyn A. (Bunny) Williams in 1965. On April 2, 1968 their son, Thomas Wayne, was born. Wayne farmed in the Reasnor, Colfax, Prairie City, New Sharon and Tracy, Iowa areas all his life.
Wayne is survived by his wife Ruth of Pella and son, Thomas Wayne of Tracy; three sisters: Josephine Dena Renaud of Pella, Reva Hazel McDaniel of Des Moines;, and Carrie "Helen" Robert of Gresham, Ore.; one brother, Howard Adrian Renaud of Pella; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Margaret Breuklander of Pella; Dorothy and Paul Renaud of Pella; and Mrs. Lois Albee of Newton.
Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Bunny Renaud; his parents, Aaron and Lena Renaud; two sisters: Ruth Alyda and Erma Jane Renaud; an infant brother; two sisters-in-law: Luretta Stiernemann and Martha Ginther; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Elwood.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
