Private graveside services for Ethel H. Atkins, 95, of Sioux City were held at Grotenhuis Family Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Mrs. Ethel H. Atkins was born in Sioux Center. Ethel was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Eastern Star Club and the T.T.T. She also had a two-year degree form Chicago Academy of fine Arts.

She was employed as a secretary for Holtz and Narin Agency in Ames and retired in 1971. Ethel lived in Pella from 1942 to 1957

She passed away March 10, at the Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City.

Ethel is survived by a son; Dr. Roger Atkins of San Francisco, Caif., a daughter; Pauline Sneller of Sioux City, two brothers; Marvin Grotenhuis of Hot Springs, Ark. and Wally Grotenbuis of Huntington Beach, Calif., and a sister; Hendrine St. Clair of Culver City, Calif., five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Atkins who died in 1999.

Arrangements were handled by Dunn's Funeral Home Moines.
