Private family services have been held for Ada Joanna De Kruyff, 66, of Des Moines, who died at her home on Saturday, July 15, 2000.

Interment was at the Sully Cemetery.

Ada was born April 12, 1934 in rural Sully, daughter of John and Cora (Fortuin) De Kruyff. She lived in Des Moines for 40 years and had previously lived in Ottumwa and Taintor.

Ada was employed at Stein Mart in West Des Moines in the alterations dept. and had previously been an Art teacher in Ottumwa and Des Moines.

Ada was a good seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora (Fortuin) De Kruyff.

Ada is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Gradus Bensink of Pella; two nephews, David Bensink of Pella and Scott Bensink of Monroe; four great-nieces, Jamie Novakovich, Sarah, Lacey and Emily Bensink; and a great-great-niece, Julie Novakovich.

Arrangements were made by Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
