Memorial services for Jane Anne Clark, 79, of Pleasantville, who died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at her home, were held Tuesday, July 18 at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. Rev. Jim Pemble officiated at the services. Midge Brooks was organist.

Interment was at Spurgeon Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were Phil Myers, Todd Clark, Richard Bailey, Fred Deeds, Tom Williams and Darrell Lawrence.

Jane was born on December 25, 1920 in Marion County, the daughter of Chester Ray Greer and Ruth Irene (Perry) Greer. She was raised in the Knoxville area and graduated from Knoxville High School.

Jane was united in marriage to Cecil Clark on May 17, 1941 in Unionville, Mo. The couple always farmed in the Pinchy area. Through the years, Jane Anne baked a lot of pies for family and friends and always enjoyed crocheting afghans. She and Cecil also enjoyed many Saturday nights at the Guys and Gals Dance Club in their younger years.

Jane was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sara Ryerson.

Jane is survived by her husband, Cecil; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dennis and Linda Clark and Bruce Clark, all of Pleasantville; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Jordan of of Knoxville; a brother, Richard Bailey of Knoxville; a sister, Frances King of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two grandchildren, Todd and Jodi Clark; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Arrangements were made by Mason Funeral Home.
