Service for Edith Nossaman, 4, of Leighton, who died March 2, 1991 at Pella Community Hospital were held March 5 at the United Methodist church in Tracy. Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Internment was in Portergrove Cemetery, rural Pella.

Rev. Robert Morris officiated the services. Music was provided by Lena Vandenberg organist and Dorothy Hauenstein, soloist.

Pallbearers were Ted Roush, Brian and Kevin Brown, Richard, David, Vincent and Brett Nossaman, Allen Wissler, Jeff Barrett and Doug Rosenboom.

Mrs. Nossaman was born April 12, 1906 in Marion County, the daughter of John Wesley and Mary Eva Busenberg Harvey.

She grew up in Marion county and attended Rising Star School.

On October 20, 1928, she married John E (Ted) Nossaman at Winnetka, IL.

They farmed south of Pella for 53 years.

She was a member of the Tracy United Methodist Church and the Friendly Few Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; her parents, four brothers, Lee, Lorin, Dwight and John, three sisters, Lela Brubaker, Mary Rose and Velma Harvey; and one granddaughter, Kelli Jean Brown.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Mary)Roush of Harvey and Mrs. Billy (Wilma) Brown of Oskaloosa; three sons, Harvey of Leighton, Larry of Knoxville and Kenneth of Pella; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, her twin, Ethel Benscoter of Oskaloosa, and Effie Harvey of Knoxville.

A memorial has been established to the Tracy United Methodist Church.
