Dielis Van Zante died at his home northeast of Otley at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 1916, aged 75 years, 4 months, and 20 days. Mr. Van Zante has been a man of integrity and high standing in his community for many years, and served as member of the board of County Supervisors some twenty years ago.
Deceased is survived by his wife, four sons, Gysbert, Art B., Albert, and Tony, and six daughters, Mrs. Nick Pannekoek, Mrs. John Witzenberg, Mrs. G. Walraven, Mrs. John Boot, Mrs. Arie Bensink, and Miss Maggie. All the children live in the community.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 14th, at 10 o'clock at the home and at 11 o'clock at the Reformed church, Otley. Interment was at Oakwood cemetery, Pella.
