Mrs. Henry McMasters
The following was sent to the Journal for publication:
Laura E. Redding was born at Harvey, Iowa, June 29th, 1891. She died December 14th, 1911, and was 20 years, 5 months and 15 days old.
She was married in 1905 to Henry McMasters, who survives her. To them were born three children. She leaves beside her husband and three children, a father, two sisters and one brother.
Mrs. McMasters became conscious after having suffered greatly and began praying, after which she talked beautifully, first to her husband, then her children, afterward each of her relatives present, bidding them each good bye. She said she was willing to go, especially telling the little girl she was going away off and couldn’t come back and for her to be a good girl and mind papa.
It does not seem one could have talked the way she did without being in touch with the Heavenly scenes. She especially trusted Jesus to care for her children after she was gone. After this her breathing became harder and she asked for prayer. This request was responded to. It was a beautiful death bed scene and one that each present will always remember.
The interment was made at Harvey, Iowa.

Mother Dies and Leaves Three Little Children
Mrs. Henry McMaster died at her home Thursday night at 9:30 after quite a long illness. She has been very sick for a number of weeks and the last few days there was little hope entertained that she would recover. She was young, only had known twenty summers.
In her death three little children are left motherless.
The body will be taken to Harvey for burial. It will be accompanied there by the husband, Saturday morning.
