Roy Saunder died at the Veterans' Hospital in Des Moines Saturday, October 20. He was 65 years old. He was born near Dunreath and lived most of his life at Red Rock and in Marion County. He spent the last 15 years in Des Moines where he was a carpenter. His home was 3212 Garfield Ave. He was married to Margery Koons and to this union three children were born: Martha of Colorado Springs, Colo.; William of Enid, Okla.; and Richard of Des Moines. His Wife also survives and four sisters and three brothers. Funeral was held Wednesday at the Methodist church in Knoxville. Arthur Nichols delivered the funeral sermon, Bybee and Davis had charge of the funeral and the body was laid to rest in Dunreath Cemetery.
