CORNELIUS COSTER

Cornelius Coster, son of John C. and Mary Coster, was born Sept. 19, 1876 at Pella and departed this life Oct. 21, 1956 at his home at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 2 days.

He was united in marriage Aug. 10, 1922 to Maude Blackman. To this union three children were born. He spent nearly all of his life living on a farm east of Knoxville. He was a semi-invalid for about one year before his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mrs. John Chambers and Mrs. Anna Watertor, and one infant son.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Coster, two children, John of New Sharon and Mrs. Marybelle Crosby of Knoxville, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ver Dught and Mrs. Cora Nelson of Des Moines, three nieces, three nephews and a number of other relatives and friends.

It was on June 17, 1956 in his home in the presence of some of the other members of the family that he confessed Christ as his saviour.

Services were held at the Coalport Baptist Church Oct. 23, 1956 with the Rev. Fred Dietderich officiating. Interment was in the Coalport Cemetery.
