Mrs. Vivian McCurry, 69 passed away on Monday at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Celebrate Community Church in Knoxville, with burial following at Graceland Cemetery.

She was born and raised in the Newton area and lived in Grinnell most of her adult life before moving to Knoxville in 1993. She worked for GTE for over 15 years before retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; children, Steven W. of Knoxville, Randy G of Grinnell, Michael W. of Cedar Rapids and Kimberly K. Rietveld of Knoxville; brothers, Howard William Bowie of Runnells, Roger Bowie of Riverside, CA, John Bowie of Runnells and Tom Bowie of Newton; sisters, Inez Martin of Oklahoma City, OK, and Judy Blom of Cedar Rapids, and five grandchildren.

Visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Celebrate Community Church Building Fund.
