Virgie Shinn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Shinn, who was born in Hickory county, Missouri, Sept. 12, 1889, and departed this life Tuesday morning, Feb. 16, 1926.

In 1899, deceased, with her parents, came to Knoxville, where she has made her home since. She attended school in Knoxville, after which she taught at different places in the county.

About sixteen years ago, deceased was converted and united with the Free Methodist Church, and has since been a faithful member.

On Dec. 24, 1920, she was united in marriage with Eldie Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was taken to the Mater Hospital about ten days ago and underwent an operation for the removal of a tumor on Wednesday, Feb. 10. She seemed to be improving until last Monday, when her nerves seemed to give way and the end came early Tuesday morning.

Deceased is survived by her father, mother, four brothers, and one sister besides many devoted friends. One brother passed away in March 1896. The four brothers are: J.H. Shinn, of Leighton; E.R. Shinn of Brooklyn, NY; O.S. Shinn, of Escondido, Calif., and W.S. Shinn, of Lewiston, Idaho. The sister is Mrs. T.E. Hicks.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. F.M. Smith, of Des Moines, assisted by Rev. E. Orman. Interment in Graceland cemetery.
