Pella's Weekblad dated May 15, 1896, p. 5, col 3: Mrs. Leendert de Penning:
The widow of Leendert de Penning died Tuesday afternoon at the home of Cornelis de Goey about six miles northwest of Pella, after a rather lengthy illness. She was over 70 years. The funeral service was held yesterday morning led by student A. de Jong in the Bethel church. The burial took place at the new cemetery north of Pella. [Translated by J. Smith.]
