Robert (Bob) Hawk, 62, passed away suddenly while at work with his "Family" at the Des Moines Register. He was employed there for 30 years. His "family" at the Des Moines Register will greatly miss him.

Bob was born in Des Moines and lived there all of his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Caroline Vriezelaar of Otley, IA; his father and mother, Ross and Irene Hawk of Des Moines and Otley; and his brother, Riley Hawk of Otley.

Bob is survived by his sister, Caroline (Bob) Marcketti of Delray Beach, FL.; his niece, Tamsen (David) Norman of Wynette, OK; his niece, Pam (Paul) Curry of Cape Coral, FL; his nephew, James (Staci) Marcketti of Cedar Rapids, IA; great-nieces, Brianna, Jenna, Angellica and Tiffany; great-nephews, Michael, Mathew, Mark, Cody and Dante.

He was also preceded in death by his great-nephew, Cameron Paul Curry, January 16, 2002 to October 12, 2003.

A special thank you from the family to William (Bill) Mee. He cared for Bob like a brother for over 20 years. Bob will be missed by the many people he touched in his life. Bob's last gift to others was to the Organ Donation Department at Iowa Methodist Hospital.
