Robert Edgar Anderson died at Tacoma, Washington, May 3. Death was due to a sudden attack of apoplexy. Altho he had been in poor health the past two years, his sudden demise was a shock to his family Mr. Anderson was 58 years old. He was born Jan. 1, 1862, in Monroe and received his earlier education here beginning work when he was 14 years old in the bank. When 22 years old he accepted a position in Des Moines as head bookkeeper. He was married December 15, 1886 to Miss Laura Dickey, who, with two children, his parents, two adopted children, two brothers and two sisters, survive him.

In 1889 he moved to Tacoma, where he entered business as a real estate salesman, and the following year he began a business career in real estate in which he was successful. Two years ago he retired.--Monroe Mirror
