Raymond Kersey, son of Roy and Mary (Oostrum) Kersey, passed away Nov. 16 at the home of his daughter, Mary, in Greshem, Ore.

Raymond was born Oct. 18, 1937, near Harvey. He lived in or near there until he moved with his family to Oregon in the 1960s. On March 3, 1961, he was married to Joan Bruenekool. They had three children; Mary, Carla and Le Roy.

He drove a school bus for Knoxville Schools and worked for Durham Quarry. In Oregon, he was employed by Roseburg Lumber, Tri Met Bus and Union Oil. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don. He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Mary (Chuck) Cone of Greshem, Ore., Carla (Leonard) Cravens of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Le Roy of Greshem, brother Jerry of Harvey, many nieces and nephews, five grand children and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Dec. 15.
