Funeral services for Floyd 'Pete' Redding, who died December 25 at West Ridge Manor were held December 27 from the Harvey Assembly of God Church with Rev. W.L. Willis officiating. Burial was in Eureka Cemetery under the direction of Williams funeral home.
Mrs. Beatrice Miller, organist accompanied Cindy Geery, vocalist. Casketbearers were Russell Brownlee, John Derringer, Orbra Geery, Sherril Rankin, Ted Williamson, and Danny Wooldridge.
Floyd Allison, son of Daniel and Elizabeth Cox Redding was born March 16, 1896 at Harvey. He was united in marriage to Vivian White on October 16, 1916. He was a life long resident of Harvey where he worked with clay products and in the coal mines. He was also a carpenter and mayor of Harvey for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Edith, his parents, one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by a son Clyde of Maplewood, Mo; one sister Alta Moore of Delta; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
