Beulah F. Sherman
March 18, 1914 - September 24, 2007

Beulah F. Sherman, daughter of John W. and Edith T. (Barnes) Binns was born March 18, 1914 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She attended school and was a graduate of the Oskaloosa High School, class of 1932. She was united in marriage to Cecil F. Sherman on June 19, 1938 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She and her husband resided in or near Tracy most of their lives. Cecil preceded her in death on September 11, 1976. Beulah was a member of the Tracy Methodist Church and was an avid reader of her Bible. (She had a yearly goal to completely read her Bible from cover to cover and accomplished this goal for many years.) She also established a relationship with a pen pal in Montana, and kept corresponding with her for over 78 years. Beulah dearly enjoyed doing hand work, excelling in tatting, crocheting, and sewing. She was responsible for teaching several grandchildren these skills, and it mattered not the sex of the grandchild--- as all were taught these various skills by Beulah.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane “Marijane” Sherman of Des Moines, Iowa; a son, Marion “Sherm” Wesley Sherman and wife Shirley of Tracy, Iowa, and one sister, Ilaruth Burke of Oskaloosa, Iowa. Also, four grandchildren; Bret Cox and wife Kyla of Evanston, Illinois, Lisa Manley and husband Mark of Des Moines, Iowa, Misti LaCaze of Tracy, Iowa, and Teiara Wissler and husband Ryan of Wayland, Iowa. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cecil, and two sisters, Juanita Mabee and Iola Thayer.
