Lloyd Dean Wahe passed away at his home on Feb. 3, 2007, at the age of 62. Son of Dean and Erma (Smith) Wahe, he was raised in Greenfield.

As a youth, he was an avid Go-Kart racer, and held many titles. After graduating from high school, Lloyd served in the U.S. Army Reserves and as a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam for over two years. Following his time in the service, Lloyd worked in the logging business, did construction work, drove a truck and worked at Maytag in Newton. Lloyd lived many years in Baxter until recently moving to Pleasantville.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Linda (Mike) Brooks.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Clint (Kara) of Bondurant, Stacy (Ron) Rose of Newton and Lori (Ron) Boothroyd of Des Moines; his mother, Erma Ambrose of Lenox; his sister, Kathy (Duane) Young of Creston; nine grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Graveside services were held at Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield on March 3 with Celebrant Danielle Grace. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Head-Enders Post 265.

Mason Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
