Dwight C. Miller, 58, of Ina, Ill. died March 29, 2007, after an extended battle with cancer. Memorial services were held on April 7 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas.

Dwight was born in Knoxville to Mervin and Alberta Shupe Miller. He was a decorated veteran serving his country in the Air Force. He was very fond of nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, geology and astronomy.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Alberta and siblings, Dennis Miller and infants Gerald and Olive May.

He is survived by his children, Vivian Bennett of Carlisle, Aaron Miller of Norwalk and Jennifer Miller of Carlisle; brothers, Richard & Marilyn Miller of Knoxville, Thomas (Sue) Miller of Yelm, Wash. and Mervin D. Miller of Des Moines; sisters, Rose (Phil) Denio of Des Moines, Roberta Rigel of Melcher, and Sue (Perry) Willoughby of Melcher and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
