PELLA - Funeral services for Louise Gladstone Van Hemert, 89, of Pella, were held today, Feb. 3, at the Pella Second Reformed Church.
The Rev. Norm Schouten conducted services.
Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Memorials to the Second Reformed Church may be left at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella.
Survivors are her husband, J. B.; and a sister, Nina Jo Cory of Des Moines.
She was a member of the Second Reformed Church, the Second Reformed Quilters, Second Reformed Auxiliary and Ladies Aid, the Pella Community Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Van Hemert was office manager at Pella Rolscreen for 34 years.
She also taught shorthand, secretarial courses and office management at Central College in Pella.
She was born Sept. 28, 1905 in Pella, the daughter of Joseph S. and Gillie Sadler Gladstone.
She attended Central College.
She was married to J. b. Van Hemert May 29, 1931 in Eagleville, Mo. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1995
