Freda was born June 8, 1918 to Cornelia and Edgar Liter in Pella. She passed away peacefully May 17, 2006 at Lake Village Nursing Center in Lewisville, Texas.

She was preceded by her parents; her brother Melvin Liter and her beloved animal companion "Miss Poo".

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hollins of The Colony, Texas; Granddaughter Jasmine Hollins-Smith, great-grandsons Jalen and Michael of Ft. Worth, Texas and spouse Henry Willemsen of Leighton, Iowa. A generous person, Freda willed her body to the University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

An interim Memorial Service will be held June 8, 2006 at the home of her daughter.
