Donald Leroy Vos of Phoenix, Ariz. passed away in his sleep on May 28, 2006, after battling with emphysema since 2001.

He was born to Ben and Alice Vos on Aug. 11, 1936. Childhood consisted of being raised in the farming communities of Pella and Leighton. Don had one sister, and four brothers.

Don married Eunice Rozenboom on March 31, 1957. They settled in Marion County where they raised five children and farmed until 1968. At that time Don and Eunice started their own air conditioning and refrigeration repair business. They moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1982, where they continued the same type of business. Don retired in 1998.

He is survived by a son, David (Vicky Jones) of Phoenix, Ariz., a daughter, Judy Sommar (Greg) Lafayette, Ind., sons, Gary Vos and Rodney Vos of Phoenix, Ariz. and six grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy De Jong (Gilbert) of Leighton; brothers, Dean of Bussey and Robert (Sharon Carlson) of Harvey and numerous other family members and friends.

Proceeding Donald in death were his parents, Ben and Alice, his wife, Eunice of 39 years, a son, Larry, age 4 and brothers, Roger and Wesley.
