Nellie J. Moore, 87, of Sacramento, California, formerly of Pella, Iowa passed away, February 4, 2006, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born February 7, 1919 in the Netherlands and emigrated to the United States in 1924 with her parents, Stoffel and Johanna Zweedyk Meulpolder.
She grew up and attended school in the Pella area.

She married Marion Kruseman in 1938. To this union two children were born - Johnny and Ronnie.

She later married Charles Moore and to this union a daughter, Sally, was born.

She lived in the Sacramento, California area for over 55 years.

Nellie is survived by a son, a daughter and their spouses, Johnny and Wanda Kruseman of Pine Grove, California and Sally and Ken Colvin of Mt. Vernon, Washington as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three sisters, Jean (Gerald) Terpstra, Johanna (Wilbur) Van Ee, Gardena (Frances) Van Vark and a brother, Ray and Donna Meulpolder, a brother-in-law, George Van Vark, all of Pella and a sister-in-law, Marie Meulpolder of El Sabrante, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charlie Moore, her parents, a sister, Helen Van Vark, brother Pete Meulpolder and a brother in infancy, Gabriel Meulpolder, and a son, Ronnie Kruseman.

A gathering to honor Nellie's life was held February 11, 2006, at the home of her grandson, Kenny Johnson, of Cameron, California.
