Pezzetti, Amelia (Logli) 1910-2006

Amelia Pezzetti, 95, died on April 19, 2006, at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on April 22 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit or to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Amelia, daughter of Dominic and Angelina (Contri) Logli was born on July 22, 1910, in West Des Moines. The family moved to Melcher when she was a young girl. Amelia was a very good Italian cook, was always thinking of others before herself and most of all she adored her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Margaret) of Ankeny, and Thomas (Elizabeth) of Bloomfield Hills, Mich; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother Pete Logli and two sisters, Dora Smith and Lena Vernasco.

Amelia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Pezzetti, who died in 1942; her brothers Delmo and Arthur Logli; sisters, Asunta Gotta, Julia Nelson, Gina Fasone and Yolanda Moore.
