I am researching my greatgrandmother . On my grandmother's death cert.(1936) her mother is listed as
ELISABETH BERLIEN, father: John DIAMOND. On her marriage lic. it says her mother is MARIAH BERLIN, father Matthew DYMOND. It gives my grandmother's (Ella Mable) birthplace as Nebraska, however she was in Madison County , Iowa when she married A.J. Cornelison in 1898. Ella had at least two brothers who I believe are buried in Clark County , Iowa. I would like hearing from anyone with any information on this family. Ha

My great grandfather Samuel Barlean had A sister named
Maria Barlien who married a man who I have in my family tree as
Marlin Dymond. Samuel had several other brothers and sisters and his parents were
Michael and Mary Barlien or Berlin. they are buried in Mahaska county Iowa in a little cemetery in the country.
Coincidentally Samuels wife Sarah parents are
A.J. Cecil and Drusilla Vanlandiham and they are buried in Madison County Iowa.
I am from Nebraska where Samuel homesteaded in 1871. I have more info if you think this is'
the right family. the only thing I have found is
there are numerous spelling changes in this family.
