FREMONT - Victor Stanley Boggess, 81, of Fremont, died Tuesday, June 3, at Pleasant Park Estates in Oskaloosa. There will be no visitation or service. The body was cremated. Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery at a later date. The Powers Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 15, 1915 in Givin to Robey and Lena Sonderegger Boggess. He married Elsie Irene Jacobs on July 5, 1940. She died March 17, 1982. He was a farmer and a mechanic and had served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include a son and his wife: Dean and Terri Boggess of Hanford, Calif.; a daughter and her husband: Judy and Garrett Floor of Brodhead, Wis.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother: Bert Boggess of Oskaloosa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Elsie; two brothers; and a sister. (The Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
