Emily E. Andeway, 85, of Oskaloosa, died Friday, Oct. 29, at Mahaska County Hospital.
Service was 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Don DeGlopper officiating. Interment: Wymore Cemetery northeast of Oskaloosa. Memorials: Rose Hill Ruritan Club or donor's choice.
Mrs. Andeway was born on Dec. 22, 1913, near Victor to Henry and Emma Louise Kroul Seibert. She was a 1931 graduate of Victor High School. On Dec. 23, 1933, she married Omer V. Andeway in Montezuma. He died June 5, 1997. They operated the Rocky Road Relics antique store in Oskaloosa for more than 30 years.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Lee and Diane Andeway of Oskaloosa; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Joyce and Patrick Danley of Silvis, Ill., Janet Lee and Ray Poe of New Sharon, Joan Kay and Wayne Mednick of The Woodlands, Texas, and Jeri Ellen Norris of The Woodlands, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother and his wife: Henry L. and Majorie Seibert of Oskaloosa; and her caregiver, Nancy Hegwood of Oskaloosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (The Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
