daughter of Henry Ankeney and Esther Petro; married William Green on September 13, 1848

GREEN.-Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Davenport, in Monroe township, May 12, 1901, Mrs. Hester A. Green, aged 71 years, of heart trouble. She was born in Ohio, but had lived in Iowa for 50 years. The funeral services were held May 13, from the Wymore church and interment made in Wymore cemetery. Deceased leaves four daughters and two sons, all but one of whom were present when the end came Sunday morning. (Oskaloosa Herald, May 16, 1901, p. 4).
