William Henry Todd was born in Wayne County, Indiana June 11, 1851, and died Thursday, May 1, 1924, aged 72 years, 10 months and 20 days. When a small child he came to Iowa with his parents and located in Spring Creek township, Mahaska County, where he spent his entire life with the exception of three years. He was married March 11, 1880 to Miss Mary Nail who survives him. Five children were born to them, one of whom died in infancy. The four living are Elmer, Milton, and Ross, near Oskaloosa and Mrs. Cora Hinds, of Des Moines. The widow, the four children, seven grandchildren and great grand child and one brother. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 3, with Rev. George E. Purdy, First Christian Church, officiating. Interment was made in Bloomfield cemetery.
