The funeral of John S. Allgood occurred from the home of his sister on Saturday, with burial in Wymore Cemetery. He had been sick about two weeks and died from an abscess in the head. He leaves a wife and three children and one sister who will miss him. He was a carpenter and had lived in Buxton the last two years. (Oskaloosa Daily Herald, Friday, December 29, 1905, p. 2)
