OSWANDEL -- Fred A. Oswandel, 77, of 416 North B Street died at Mercy Hospital at 3:15 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 1954. He had been critically ill the past month. He was born in Mahaska County, the son of Godfrey and Sarah Oswandel. For 25 years he was in the feed and seed business in Oskaloosa. Surviving are the wife, Ollie M.; one son, Andrew, a granddaughter, Barbara Ann, all of this city and a niece, Mrs. Harold Betterton of Knoxville. Funeral services will be held Monday in the Powers Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Forest Cemetery. Dr. W. M. Scheuermann of the Central Methodist Church will be in charge.
