Charles Wells Dies
At Home December 8

Charles Wells died Dec. 8th at his home in Eddyville after a short illness. He had been in failing health for several years but was not considered seriously ill until a week ago.

Charles Jared Wells was born on Feb. 22, 1857, and parsed away at his home Dec. 8, 1945 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 16 days.

He was the son of Jared and Mary Wells. He came to Eddyville at the age of 12 years and was a farmer by vocation. He was married to Miss Florence Miller, who died just a few years after their marriage. He later married, Miss Cora Heki, who died fourteen years ago. Later a sister, Mrs. Lily Vance lived with him until her death, three years ago. He has been living alone until a short time ago. He leaves to mourn Mrs. Edith Vance, a niece, Eugene Vance, grand nephew and Mr. and Mrs. Archie McMackin and family.
