Dorothy E. Kitzmann, 74, of 4420 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1993, in her daughter's home in Rural Toddville after a lengthy illness.
Born February 17, 1919, in Springfield, to Robert F. and Eula Brauhart Clark, she married James F. Kitzmann January 2, 1941. He died March 25, 1963, in Des Moines.
Dorothy had been employed at St. Ludmilas School as a Teacher, at J.C. Penney for 20 years and at Mercy Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Cedar Christian Church, where she served as an elder, and was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and Witwer Senior Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Halliburton, Wanda Bragg, Alice White, and Nancy Morris; a son, Richard; and two brothers, Bruce Clark and Dean Clark; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grand-children.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Cedar Christian Church. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. at the Indianapolis Cemetery, west of What Cheer.
