Black Rites At Fremont

BATAVIA - Mrs. Pearl P. Black, 75, died suddenly about 1:30 p.m. Thursday at her home in Batavia where she had lived for the past seven years.

Last rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Robert Capps officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Cemetery near Fremont.

Pearl P. Black was born Nov. 10, 1898, in Fremont, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Huff McFall. She had made her home in Cedar Rapids and Bethel Springs, Tenn., before moving to Batavia.

Mrs. Black was a graduate of the Fremont High School and a member of the Christian Church.

She was married to Tom Black Dec. 15, 1952, at Cedar Rapids. He died June 2, 1966.

Mrs. Black is survived by a brother, Hiram McFall, Farson, and a niece, Mrs. Mary McMullin, Santa Ana, Calif.
