GENEVIEVE LILLIAN PADGETT

Genevieve Lillian Padgett, 74, of Oskaloosa, died on Thursday, Feb. 3, 1994 at Mahaska County Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1922 in Benton County to Isaac and Dorothy Woodle Hoover. She married Charles Leonard Padgett on April 2, 1949 in Lancaster, Mo. He died on Jan. 11, 1981 in Oskaloosa.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Charles and Georgia Padgett of Eddyville; a daughter, Geneva Hynick of Oskaloosa; four grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Delk of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister.

Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Max Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Family visitation will be on Sunday, 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
