Samuel Hensyell, one of Monroe township's oldest and most respected citizens, died at his home last Friday afternoon, aged 59 years. He has been suffering for the past four years with cancer of the lower lip, which caused his death. He came to Iowa in 1839, and to this county in Novmeber 1843, and has lived on the same farm where he died for more than 33 years. He was a member of the M.E. church. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the house, Rev. F(illegible) preaching. His remains were laid away in the Wymore cemetery. He was a kind and indulgent father, a good neighbor, and a very industrious man, respected by all who knew him. Another old citizen has passed over to the other land, his life's work done. The family have the sympathy of all in this their said bereavement.
